We wanted to feature a selection of LGBTQ+ small businesses from Cardiff for you to shop from! We love being a small Cardiff business, it brings so many delights, the biggest one is getting to know other small businesses…
With continuous strain on the LGBTQ+ community, we thought it would be a good idea to feature our wonderful queer Cardiff based businesses.
Cardiff Based Queer Businesses to Support all Year Round!
We really love our fellow queer small businesses. Since we started our own little shop, we’ve felt lifted up and supported by those in the LGBTQ+ Business Community, and this is our very small way of giving back.
We’re going to be a tad cheeky and feature our business first, but we encourage you to check all of these gorgeous businesses out. Bookmark them for anniversaries, birthdays and Christmas, don’t forget us all just because LGBT+ History Month is over.
KelZo Jewellery
It still feels like a dream to be running a business born from our passion for earrings alongside our belief in being proud of who you are. KelZo allows you to showcase your identity in the form of earrings, badges, necklaces and more. If you’re looking for a queer flag to dangle from your gorgeous lobes, look no further!
Weird Wednesday
Weird Wednesday speak to our hearts. From their ‘Always Anxious’ slogan to ‘Never Not Tired’, we don’t know how we could love them more. Their items make amazing gifts, for you or a loved one, and I’m after a bum-bag if you’re ever feeling generous 😉
Jokes aside, they are awesome and so is their work!
The Queer Emporium
The Queer Emporium hosts an array of queer made goodness, and we’re here for it! From books to wine, to a cheeky selection of KelZo goodies, you have to check them out when you’re next in the city.
Why not make a day and night of it, and book into one of their events?!
Paned o Gê
Paned o Gê is the go to for all queer literature. From children’s books to my fave young adult fiction and beyond, they have what you need to read! I love browsing their books and when I visit The Queer Emporium, I always leave with a book (or two!).

Tropigaz
Tropigaz gives us all the green vibes! They sell an array of gorgeous greenery, perfect for all budgets. They currently have their own gorgeous shop in the city centre, and it’s beautiful!
Their houseplants are divine, and you can currently pick them up in person from Castle Arcade.
Mopbox
Mopbox creates so many glorious things, from polymer clay earrings to beaded loveliness. We adore all they do, and you can shop online or head to Cardiff Creative to pick up some unique pieces.
What an excuse to go on a trip to Cardiff, eh?
Primavera Therapy
Primavera Therapy is the most lushest of small businesses. They are incredibly inclusive, and as well as massage and therapy, they use and sell gorgeous vegan and cruelty free products.
I’m That Stitch
We love I’m That Stitch! They make and sell gorgeous embroidery. We love their mix of queer goodness and pop culture references. You can purchase from their Etsy shop or pop to The Queer Emporium to grab some embroidered treats!
Candy Goblins
Candy Goblins offer lots of quirky earrings, so if you’re after cute camera earrings, tape measures or mini rubber ducks, they’re the shop for you! You can pick up their items from Cardiff Creative, Queer Emporium and their website too.
Gays Who Wine
Where do we start?! Gays Who Wine are an awesome LGBTQ+ wine club. They offer special wine subscriptions, as well as tasting events, and more!
The Glory Stores
The Glory Stores is a fantastic new bar and restaurant located in the heart of Roath. They have reinvented dining to create real, yet simple food, locally sourced and freshly created. Their dining room is just exquisite, so make sure you pay them a visit!
Morgan Dowdall
Morgan Dowdall is a queer artist, ceramicist and illustrator. They create stunning art focused on the human form, and we want to buy it all!
The Pie Box
The Pie Box creates glorious vegan pie and mash – could you ask for anything more?! Make sure you follow their Instagram to keep up to date with their events and market days!
Myths N Tits
Myths N Tits is a queer illustrator creating the most awesome pieces of Welsh inspired heart. Go check them out!
Zae Beauty
An LGBTQ+ make up artist based in the outskirts of Cardiff, Menna offers a safe space for all. They offer online make up classes and courses, and they’re just a lovely human being. Check out Zae Beauty.
