Zoey’s Birthday Treat: Double Treatment at Lush Spa Cardiff
This week Zoey and I were invited to Lush Spa Cardiff to review a double treatment. Read on to see how it went…
Zoey’s Birthday Treat: Double Treatment at Lush Spa Cardiff
At the beginning of the year, Zoey and I had a double facial treatment at a local spa. The experience was not a good one, and we left feeling really let down, emotional and completely put off spa treatments for good…
Or so we thought!
Fast forward to August and here we are, having had the most wonderful experience at Lush Spa Cardiff. The staff have completely restored our faith in spa therapies, and well… the human race too!
Zoey was super nervous leading up to the appointment, but I assured her the staff at Lush are exactly that – lush! We arrived about ten minutes early for our appointment, and they have the cutest way of welcoming you. A member of staff stands at the front of the store with a little blackboard with your name and treatment on!

Once you’ve met the member of staff, you’re guided to the back of the beautiful store to the spa reception. We were given forms to fill out (health questions etc) and we had time to sit and chill whilst waiting for our therapists. I snapped some pictures whilst Zoey received a gorgeous hand and arm massage whilst we waited…

Or therapists came down to collect us and we joined them in the lift and up to the first floor of the spa. We were guided to the kitchen area where we sat with the therapists and they talked through our treatment. It was so thorough and really intimate, and the therapists had the softest voices! I felt so relaxed listening to them talk about the treatment…

We chose The Comforter, a 60 minute ‘full-body, exfoliating treatment with an indulgent massage’. The focus is indulgence and childhood memories, and the products used are completely beautiful. They use a chocolate scrub and a rose massage bar, and they smelt amazing, even during the consultation…

After the consultation, we went upstairs to the treatment room. We waited outside, whilst they set up, and then we went into a room I can only describer as pure heaven. The lights were dimmed and there were little sparkly lights all around the room. Music played and the whole environment felt magical and relaxing all at once.
We were asked to get undressed and get cosy under the blankets on the beds. They left the room whilst we readied ourselves, and the bed felt just like a giant marshmallow, as described in the consultation! We were so snuggly and the warmth was perfect for helping us relax and unwind.
The therapists returned and the treatment began. I really loved how the treatment worked, focusing on one part of the body at a time. It felt very discrete, and not once did I feel exposed or uncomfortable. The music for each treatment has been designed to specifically align with the treatment theme, and there were times when I felt overwhelmed with emotion. I’m not going to lie, I nearly cried at one point!
The treatment felt so indulgent and warm, leading me to feel completely relaxed and safe in the hands of my therapist.
When the treatment was over, we were told to take our time getting ready and to meet them back downstairs. We arrived in the kitchen area to a gorgeous candyfloss and rosewater mocktail, and it was delicious. We were told we could relax and unwind some more before leaving, so we had a little chat and snapped some photos to share with you!

This treatment costs £100 per person and I feel it’s more than worth the money. We felt like queens! We were treated so beautifully and not once did we feel rushed or unwelcome. We arrived at 3.35pm and didn’t leave til around 5.50pm! The staff are all so attentive and sweet, and they made Zoey feel sooooo welcome.
I asked Zoey the million dollar question, ‘Would you come back?!’ and her answer was a resounding YES! It was an amazing experience and now we’re pretty hooked and can’t wait to book in for more treatments! Obviously we purchased a few little bits on our way out, it would be rude not too, right?!

Have you been to a Lush Spa yet? Tell me everything in the comments…
