When looking for eye makeup for transgender women, it’s always good to get some tips! Here’s some of my favourite products.

Eye Shadow Palettes

Shadow palettes are my ultimate favourite item of makeup to have in my drawers, and I’m not gonna lie, I have at least 20! I love vibrant colours as they are great for giving your look that punch, but also keep a good stock of darker colours for that smoky look.

Forever Flawless Palette by Revolution

Forever Flawless Palette – Revolution

This is one of the first Revolution palettes I bought for myself. There’s some vibrant greens along with some sparkles you can use to overlay on the lids. I love the darker shades which I use to create a smoky look, and the shimmers to highlight the inner eye.

Colour Book CB04 by Revolution

Colour Book CB04 Palette – Revolution

If you are looking for something to give you a sweet as candy vibe, the range of pinks and purples in this palette is perfect. It’s also a great starter makeup for transgender women who are just beginning their journey in makeup, as the colours can be used more subtly and will be forgiving with any learning curves.

Eyeliners

Now, I have a few different eyeliners which serve different purposes, but my all time favourite has to be a crisp, pointed felt liner. I love getting sharp wings over the top of a vibrant colour, but also have a kohl pencil for adding to the smoky looks under my eye. Here’s a few of my favourites.

Renaissance Flick by Revolution

Renaissance Flick – Revolution

This is my absolute favourite eyeliner…. EVER! It’s compact, but lasts for ages, it’s precise but also great for filling and it gives great coverage. I honestly cannot praise this product enough and always have at least 2 spare in my drawer!

Masterpiece Kohl Kajal by Max Factor

Kohl Kajal – Max Factor

It’s handy having a kohl pencil if you are practising your wings and lining as it’s easier to smudge it out and try again. The pencils are also really useful for adding to any dramatic smoky looks you are trying to achieve. The added benefit of an automatic pencil like this one, is that you don’t need to sharpen it!

Mascara

Now, when it comes to mascara, I used to feel like I wanted a more natural look, however as time has progressed, I now find myself getting my lashes as big and as clumpy as I can! Here’s a couple of my faves.

Scandaleyes Reloaded by Rimmel London

Scandaleyes Reloaded – Rimmel London

This is my go-to mascara these days, it’s nice and thick, and the brush is simple. I find it awkward sometimes with curved wands, but this one is great and always tends to last all day and night with minimal movement.

Extra Super Lash by Rimmel London

Extra Super Lash – Rimmel London

This is a great starter mascara as it is at the cheaper end and a very simple wand. It also has the ability to be layered up to create some mahoosive volumised lashes.

Highlighter

My final item is not really designed as an eye makeup piece, but love the addition. A little under the outer corner of each brow, then a touch on the inner eye. Doing this really makes your eye makeup pop and when used alongside cheek highlights has a really fantastic look.

Highlight Reloaded, Just my Type by Revolution

Highlight Reloaded, Just my Type – Revolution

At less than a fiver, this highlighter is great. I use it to highlight any part of my face I feel I want to, including around my eyes. The amount I use is so small, I imagine this will last me a very long time. It is such great value for money versus using the highlighting and shimmery colours within eyeshadow palettes alone.

Now, I know there’s a fair few Revolution products here, but I truly believe they are great products. They are bold. and affordable and do everything I need them to do without leaving my skin feeling awful once cleansed off.

However you choose to explore makeup, do it with joy rather than apprehension. There’s no wrong way to wear makeup, do what makes you feel happy. You do you!
