Christmas Vibes: Benugo, Edgar, and more at John Lewis

Yesterday we headed to John Lewis in Cardiff for a yummy lunch at Benugo. We love the food Benugo produces, and we were super excited to try out their festive collection of savouries and sweet treats! Christmas at John Lewis is always so special, so read on to see how it went…

Christmas Vibes at John Lewis

We arrived to a warm welcome, and it was fab to see so many lovely familiar faces from the blogging world! It was lovely to hang out with other parent bloggers, and meet their lovely children, and we were all looking forward to tasting the new range of food!

We all started off with hot drinks, Zoey and I both tried the salted caramel latte and gingerbread chai latte, and they were both absolutely gorgeous! The chai latte was definitely a hit, it was super festive and warmed us up nicely!

When it comes to their food selection, Benugo at John Lewis know exactly what they’re doing! The new festive menu includes:

  • Pulled ham and smoked cheddar baguette
  • Festive nut roast wrap (vegan)
  • Turkey, bacon and cranberry ciabatta
  • Brie, bacon and cranberry ciabatta
  • Brie and cranberry ciabatta (veggie)
  • Festive vegan fest bloomer (vegan)
  • Turkey bacon and cranberry bloomer


The sweet treats included:

  • Mince pie slices (vegan)
  • White forest cookies
  • Lebkuchen gingerbread squares

We had the best time sampling these goodies, and I really enjoyed the festive nut roast wrap, as well as the mince pie slice. I’m not a big mince pie fan, but these vegan slices were simply delicious! Zoey adored the turkey, bacon and cranberry ciabatta – so festive!

Molly was a massive fan of the gingerbread squares, whereas George tried the white forest cookie!

We had the best time at Benugo, the staff are always so welcoming and there’s always food to suit everyone.

After we’d finished we decided to have a look around John Lewis, and we found lots of lovely festive things! The highlights included:

  • Festive trees
  • Decorations galore
  • Festive hut for photos
  • Santa’s post box
  • Edgar the dragon photo opportunity
  • Beautiful clothing
